Pedestals | The Sexual Revolution | Nature's Refection

* Lessons Learned

Hi Friend,

As I sit sometimes in my open field here on Butterfly Ranch the grasses bend in the wind, the hawks circle overhead & the 5 mountain ranges to the east allow my mind to drift into the past.

Every story you can possibly imagine is there. There's a wide variety of different places I've been on this planet, interesting coincidences that have collided and blossomed into a colorful array of adventures. Yes, Lessons Learned.

Regret is part of the terrain as well. It would be unfair to say that I don't have regrets but I do. Many actually. Things I shouldn't of said or done. Places I had no business being. They are not strong regrets anymore. Just slivers of what used to be.

Those mountains have a way of softening those remaining rough edges for me. This field is my grounding. And with that self love is fully intact. Just sitting and accepting the way it has been and the way it is now.

Currently, I've canceled all my travel plans for next year. It just doesn't feel right. Feels like I'd be running away from the state of affairs here in the US and my responsibilities. My truth:

Nobody has a monopoly on the truth, but many people are doing everything they possibly can to convince other people that their truth is the only truth.

Very dangerous.

Keep your feet in the earth Dennis & your eyes on the mountains so wiser decisions can be made and correct actions can be taken.

🎶 Vibe We're Lovin

My taste in music is like a roller coaster ride. It would make most people sick just to watch the ride. Lenny, to whom I've been following for a long time has brought many people that I've come to love into the mixing room with him, for instance: Madonna | Michael Jackson & Slash: The Guns N' Roses guitarist, who were high school friends, co-wrote Kravitz's 1991 hit "Always on the Run."

As for Dua Lipa well, everyone knows I love smart, fun, strong women.
It's really only a couple of songs I'm fond of, but wow, so much grace in the way she moves through her career.

⚡The Hard Wired

The Hard Wired is a term I use to represent people (authors, thought leaders...), subjects, places etc. that I tap into on a regular basis and most likely will go to see in person or already have...

Last year I went to Europe three times. I'll save you the hard earned lessons from those first two trips and jump right into the third.

Chris Williamson (his website), the famous podcaster/ actor / entrepreneur had been on my list for 5 years prior and now it was here. The whole experience was worth it in every way. London, Hammersmith @ The Eventim Apollo.
Many of my mates from London were there that are so fluent in the UK musical history scene it's surprising Mick Jagger didn't pop in to sing us a song.

- That story above will come later...

For now here is his latest podcast I'm ear chewing on.
Don't hurt yourself...

Louise Perry is the author of The Case Against The Sexual Revolution (get the audiable) and Bonnie Blue to whom is the world’s most extreme example of the sexual revolution in action. The Podcast on Spotify can be found here. Enjoy

Lessons Learned

Pedestals are dangerous places. It's similar to building a house on top of a tall palm tree. Then waking up and looking down, wondering how you could've possibly gotten up there and what are those people doing down there with that ax? Best to keep your feet on the ground. Beach sand is a good start.

My latest post on the Internet:
“A true yoga studio is built on community and mutual support, where teachers are not placed on pedestals, but share what they’ve learned as fellow human beings walking the path alongside their students.”

Pedestals are dangerous places.

Stay in the light of love my friends, it's always worth it.
ox Dennis
